We are seeking an experienced Patent Paralegal to work for our Manchester based client, a leading IP law firm.
Key Responsibilities include:
Monitoring all incoming correspondence and accurately updating records including docketing deadlines on the internal database.
Performing quality checks in relation to trainee IP Administrators work, especially for new filings
Monitoring team tasks on a daily basis via the internal database.
Ensuring best practice is observed within the team by leading workflow meetings both virtually and face to face.
Dealing with various formalities including IDS’s, PoAs and assignments.
Supporting the IP Administrator and helping with workload during busy periods.
Preparing and checking complex reports including client reports.
Skills & Knowledge required:
CIPA qualified - highly advantageous
In depth IP portfolio and procedural experience
Ability to build and maintain a constructive relationship with individuals at all levels, including delivering training where appropriate and leading the team to ensure all work is dealt with a timely manner
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
Meticulous eye for detail, working consistently to high standards
